Herniated Disc

What to Expect

Every individual will experience a disc herniation differently based upon pain perception. Sometimes some of the most painful and debilitating cases are the smallest herniation or bulge.

Our Team

Dr. Bill has tailored treatment modalities that work with a wide variety of patients dealing with Herniated Discs. Every patient will be treated with individualistic treatments that work with the patients lifestyle to change the intensity and frequency of pain.

Did You Know

You are more likely to herniate a disc  within the first hour after rising because of the increased disc content that occurs while sleeping.

What happens if i dont get treated?

Depending on the location and type of herniation or bulge a patient may experience pain for the rest of their life, but sometimes it can resolve on its own in a few months. Believe it or not if the herniation is an extruded disc herniation  (click for more info), the herniation can resolve itself by breaking down the separated disc material and resolving the pain. This does not mean that treatment is not necessary because if not treated correctly  through chiropractic care the ligaments that were damaged during the herniation can remain damaged and heal improperly causing further complications in the future
